2400mm x 1200mm x 12.5mm Square Edge Plasterboard is a versatile and widely used board for internal walls and ceilings where standard fire, structural, and acoustic performance is required. Manufactured from high-quality gypsum, this plasterboard provides a smooth, consistent surface suitable for a wide range of interior building projects.
Square edge plasterboard is ideal for applications that will receive a skim coat of gypsum plaster, textured finishes, or be left undecorated in areas such as garages or utility spaces. It is commonly used for partitions, wall linings, and ceilings in domestic and commercial construction.
The board is constructed with an aerated calcium sulphate di-hydrate core, enclosed within strong paper liners with bound edges. The core and paper are securely bonded using starch and PVA edge glue, ensuring strength, durability, and ease of handling during installation.
This standard plasterboard complies with BS EN 520:2004+A1:2009 Type A, making it suitable for general-purpose internal use where no additional moisture, fire, or acoustic enhancements are required.
