P5 Tongue and Groove Chipboard Flooring

P5 Tongue and Groove Chipboard Flooring is a high-performance structural flooring board designed for load-bearing domestic and commercial flooring applications. Manufactured to EN 312 P5 standards, this moisture-resistant chipboard is specifically engineered for use in humid conditions, making it ideal for modern building environments.

The tongue and groove (T&G) profile allows boards to lock together securely, creating a strong, stable floor with reduced movement and improved load distribution. This interlocking joint also helps minimise squeaks and deflection when correctly installed.

P5 chipboard flooring is commonly used for upper floors, ground floors (over joists), mezzanines, loft conversions, and timber frame construction. It is suitable for use beneath a wide range of final floor finishes, including carpet, laminate, engineered wood, and vinyl.

Moisture resistance makes P5 boards far more tolerant of site conditions compared to standard chipboard flooring, helping reduce the risk of swelling during construction. However, boards should not be exposed to permanent wet conditions and should be protected from standing water.

Designed for easy handling and installation, P5 T&G chipboard can be fixed using flooring screws or nails, with adhesive applied to the tongue and groove joints for optimal performance.
