We have partnered with several specialist carriers and couriers to offer a complete nationwide timber delivery service. Please be aware that this delivery service is not always cost effective when ordering small volumes of timber goods. This service is aimed at supplying our regular clients, or those looking to have bulk machined goods as a one off or on a ad hoc basis. For all new trade customers who are outside our normal delivery area, we will provide a special deliveries term
🚚 Nationwide Timber Delivery – By Quote
While our standard delivery service focuses on our regular local delivery areas, we can also arrange out of area timber deliveries for customers located further afield.
This service is designed for customers who still require delivery using suitable timber vehicles, but fall outside our normal delivery routes.
📍 How Out of Area Delivery Works
Out of area deliveries are handled in one of two ways, depending on location, order size and logistics:
🔹 Delivery Using Our Own Vehicles
Where the delivery location is close to our usual delivery area — or where it makes logistical sense — we may deliver the order using our own Nottage Timber Merchants vehicles.
This option is assessed on a case-by-case basis and depends on route planning, vehicle availability and order size.
🔹 Specialist Carrier & Courier Network
For longer-distance deliveries, we work with a network of specialist timber carriers and courier brokers. These services operate on a “man-with-a-van” or dedicated vehicle basis and are experienced in transporting long, heavy and awkward timber loads safely.
These brokers coordinate suitable vehicles and carriers specifically matched to the size, weight and nature of the order.

Out of area delivery is not always cost-effective for small quantities of timber.
This service is best suited to:

For new trade customers outside our normal delivery area, delivery arrangements will be discussed and agreed in advance, with special delivery terms provided where appropriate.

All delivery quotes for out of area deliveries will be on a per order basis. The cost of service varies depending on vehicle required, distance, time frames, weights and many other factors which would be almost impossible price automatically. Delivery prices quoted are valid for a maximum of 3 days, after this time, we would need to get a new quote from the carriers.
Time scales for deliveries will be stated during the quote period. We do not offer a guaranteed delivery date, and this is only an estimation based on the time frame provided by the carrier. Each carrier acts as an independent third party, these third parties may impose their own terms and conditions. Where this is the case, these terms and conditions will be passed onto you to sign and agree to.
