Flat Pack Unglazed DKM Fixed Frame Timber Window System is a simple, high-quality window solution designed specifically for DIY projects, garden buildings, and non-regulated structures. Drawing on decades of window manufacturing experience, our Joinery Team has engineered a system that can be assembled quickly and accurately by anyone, even with limited joinery skills.

Supplied flat packed for easy transport, this fixed (non-opening) timber window can be assembled in minutes using nothing more than a hammer. Precision-machined dovetail keyed mitre joints remove the most common DIY frustration — achieving tight, square mitres — while delivering a strong, professional-grade joint once assembled.

Manufactured from premium Scandinavian Redwood, each frame is supplied unassembled and unglazed, allowing you to choose the most suitable glazing material for your project and budget. The frame is rebated to accept 4mm glazing, making it compatible with Perspex, acrylic, polycarbonate, plexiglass, or single glazed glass. Matching window beading is included to provide a clean, finished appearance once glazed.

For best results, glazing should be ordered after the window frame has been delivered, as minor variations in timber can occur. As a general guide, glazing sizes are typically 70mm smaller than the overall frame dimensions, but we always recommend measuring once assembled.

What truly sets this system apart is the dovetail keyed jointing method. The pre-cut mitres are pulled together by specialist dovetail keys, creating a tight, permanent joint while allowing space for exterior-grade glue. No clamps are required — the dovetail keys act as the clamp — making assembly fast, accurate, and repeatable. Once glued and keyed, the joints are extremely strong and resistant to movement.

A competent DIY customer can typically assemble the frame in as little as 5 minutes, with a fully assembled, glued, and glazed window completed in around 20 minutes.
