25mm x 125mm ThermoWood-D Pine Tongue & Groove Shiplap Embossed Cladding is a premium, low-maintenance timber cladding designed for external applications where durability, stability, and appearance are essential. Manufactured from Finnish-grown pine using the ThermoWood® heat treatment process, this cladding offers excellent performance without the use of chemical preservatives.
ThermoWood-D is produced by heat treating timber to temperatures in excess of 200°C, permanently altering its cellular structure. This process significantly improves resistance to decay, moisture movement, and warping, making it an ideal choice for external walls, façades, garden buildings, and exposed elevations.
The tongue and groove shiplap profile provides an overlapping joint that helps shed water effectively while allowing the boards to interlock securely. The embossed finish adds subtle texture and visual interest, creating a clean, contemporary appearance. Colour varies depending on the treatment temperature, with higher temperatures producing a darker tone. If left untreated, the cladding will weather naturally to a silver-grey finish, or it can be coated to retain its original colour.
Uncoated ThermoWood-D pine cladding can achieve a 30-year service life when installed correctly. When a surface coating is applied and maintained in line with manufacturer guidance, a 60-year service life can be achieved. ThermoWood-D has a durability class 2 (durable) rating in accordance with EN 113.
Produced from sustainably managed Finnish forests and certified under recognised forestry schemes, ThermoWood® is an environmentally responsible choice for modern architectural cladding projects.
