22mm x 150mm (6x1) Treated Sawn Timber / Gravel Board is a versatile, pressure treated redwood timber suitable for a wide range of fencing and garden applications. Machined from ungraded Scandinavian redwood, it is designed for external use where durability is required without the need for a structural strength grade.

Most commonly used as a timber gravel board, this treated 6x1 board is fitted between fence posts to lift fence panels or feather edge boards away from ground level. This helps protect fencing from soil contact, moisture splashback, and rot, extending the overall lifespan of the fence. Its pressure treatment makes it suitable for ground contact, which is why it performs well in gravel board applications.

Beyond gravel boards, this timber is also widely used for agricultural-style fencing, fencing rails, garden boundaries, and general outdoor construction. The rough sawn finish provides a traditional, practical appearance and offers a good surface for painting or further treatment if required.

While suitable for ground contact, this timber is not suitable for in-ground use such as posts buried into the soil. For best long-term performance, all cut ends should be sealed with a suitable preservative to maintain full protection.
