Apply the activator to one face of the joint and the adhesive to the other, then bring the surfaces together firmly for a few seconds. The activator significantly reduces cure time, so work in a well-ventilated area and avoid prolonged skin contact. Store the kit with caps tightly fitted, away from direct sunlight and moisture, to preserve the shelf life of both components.

What is the difference between the activator and the adhesive in this kit?
The adhesive is the cyanoacrylate bonding agent applied to one surface. The activator is sprayed or applied to the opposing surface and triggers an accelerated cure when the two come into contact, removing the need to hold or clamp the joint while it sets.
Can I use this kit on painted or primed mouldings?
It is best used on bare timber surfaces for the strongest bond. Painted or primed surfaces can reduce adhesion, so where possible sand or key the joint faces lightly before applying the adhesive and activator.
Is this kit suitable for external joinery?
Cyanoacrylate adhesives are generally intended for internal use. For external mitre joints exposed to moisture or temperature movement, a suitable exterior wood adhesive or silicone-based product would be more appropriate.
