Feather Edge Boards
Our Feather Edge Boards are a popular choice for creating strong, traditional fencing that offers both privacy and security. Produced from quality softwood and pressure-treated for durability, these boards are designed to withstand the elements and provide long-lasting protection for your garden or boundary.
Feather edge fencing is built by fixing boards vertically, overlapping each one to form a solid barrier. As a guide, you will need approximately 10 boards per metre of fencing. We always recommend allowing for a small amount of extra boards to cover cutting, overlaps, or wastage during installation. For best results, install your feather edge boards above a gravel board to prevent ground contact and extend the life of your fence.
These boards are easy to work with and can be cut to size, nailed, or screwed into place on horizontal rails. Once installed, they can be left natural for a classic timber look, or painted and stained to match your garden design.
At TimberOnline (Nottage Timber Merchants), we supply premium feather edge boards in a range of lengths, available for delivery across South Wales and the UK. With reliable stock and decades of timber expertise, you can build fencing that’s both practical and attractive.
Tip: Always use pressure-treated posts and rails alongside gravel boards to maximise the lifespan of your fence.
